Kamal Masarweh
Clinical Research Fellow
Kamal is a paediatrician and paediatric pulmonary specialist whose main research interests are data science and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare. He brings a distinctive combination of clinical expertise and a strong interest in data science to our team. After completing a postgraduate certificate in Health Data Science at the University of Manchester, he joined us as an information and data manager. In this role, Kamal focused on improving data acquisition methods to support the MRCC, using a range of databases and digital data collection techniques.
Kamal is now a research clinical fellow. He supports rare disease clinical trials and contributes to the Rare and Inherited Disease Network of Excellence by helping develop AI solutions in genetics. He also supports the delivery of the Fetal Exposures to Medicine Service.
