Riya has graduated with MBBS from Manipal University of Higher Education, Manipal, India(2015). She completed her MD -Paediatrics (2019) from Rajiv Gandhi University, Karnataka, India and obtained DNB-Paediatrics (2021), awarded by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, India. She has completed her MRCPCH and is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (2022). She aspires to contribute to research on rare diseases in children and potential treatments. Riya was involved in ANAVEX-73 study for patients with Rett syndrome and is currently working on the RECONNECT study for the children with Fragile X syndrome. She is also involved with the SCN1a Horizons natural history study, GENROC study and provides support in data management and analysis for the UK Fanconi Registry.
